VINTAGE ART AUCTION AND CRAFTS SALE

October 22, 2005

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A vintage art auction and crafts sale to benefit the Monmouth Civic Chorus will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 65 West Front Street, Red Bank. Preview is at 2:00 pm and the auction begins at 3:00. Vintage paintings, drawings and prints will be sold at bargain prices. Crafts will include unique scarves and jewelry handmade by chorus members. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the door, $15 per couple, and includes home-made refreshments and preview music by chorus members. The auctioneer is Warren Moe, Atlantic Highlands, a chorus member known for his offbeat sense of humor as well as his tenor voice.

“With all the art auctions we’ve held as fund-raisers over the years, our members and friends are running out of wall space,” said Monmouth Civic Chorus president Kathleen Blinn, Matawan. “They’re donating beautiful framed art that originally sold for hundreds of dollars, which we can resell for a fraction of the price,” Blinn said. For tickets and information, call (732) 933-9333 or visit www.monmouthcivicchorus.org.
